Grand County voices heard at Colorado State Capitol

Colorado Counties, Inc. (CCI) members on the steps of the State Capitol, after representing their counties before the Colorado House Local Government Committee in favor of HB 1367 which passed unanimously. County Commissioner, Merrit Linke, on the far right, testified that Grand County will be in subcategory D which reflects no changes in salaries for any elected official.

Grand County Commissioner, Merrit Linke, working with Colorado Counties, Inc. (CCI), recently testified before the Colorado House Local Government Committee in favor of HB 1367. The bill, sponsored by Representatives Hamner and Rankin, adjusts scheduled salary increases in specific counties around the state. Testifying in support of the bill which passed unanimously, were Commissioners Linke (Grand), Jim Murphy (Jackson), Jason Anderson (Saguache), Steve Child (Pitkin), and Rod Pelton (Cheyenne). Grand County will be in subcategory D which reflects no changes in salaries for any elected official.

CCI is a non-profit membership association which assists county commissioners and other elected Colorado leaders to encourage counties to work together on common issues. CCI presents a united voice to the Colorado General Assembly and other government and regulatory bodies to help shape our future working together.
