Grand Futures Prevention Coalition receives grant

Staff Report

Grand Futures Prevention Coalition announced today that it has received a $25,000 Daniels Fund grant for the general operating fund of the organization.

GFPC provides education and programming for substance abuse prevention for youth and other residents in communities of the 14th Judicial District of Northwest Colorado, including the counties of Grand, Routt and Moffat.

“The grant will help enable our offices and programs to continue in this critical work,” said Susan Baird, managing director. “General operating funds support and sustain programming. The best programs and efforts come about only because of dedicated staff with the offices, equipment and professional development that make them possible.”

General operating also includes other support services such as insurance, financial audits, phone and Internet.

Bill Daniels, a pioneer in cable television known for his kindness and generosity to those in need, established the Daniels Fund to provide grants and scholarships in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming. For more information, please visit
