Grand Lake real estate agent finds her passion

Not everyone is fortunate enough to find a job they love, but Dolores Esmonde seems to be one of the lucky ones.
She has tried it all: Interior decorating, painting, ski instructing, ministry, even bull riding. Her palette of career choices helped shape the “can-do” attitude that suits her in her new position with RE/Max Resorts of Grand County. Esmonde joined RE/Max in May and is now the broker associate for the Grand Lake office.
Esmonde has been a Grand Lake resident for 19 years, and her love for Grand County pairs well with selling homes and property.
“I enjoy introducing people to this beautiful place. It’s so pristine and peaceful,” Esmonde said. “That’s one of the great things about real estate. You get to bring people to a place that you enjoy.”
Esmonde is excited to work with RE/Max, she said, and feels the Grand Lake office is like a tight-nit family. She believes RE/Max provides worldwide company recognition with a personal touch.
Most importantly, she added, is the staff she works with and the quality of service they provide.
“We work so well together, and there’s a real peace in the office even though there’s so much going on,” she said. “You feel like the doors are always open.”
Esmonde believes her coworkers share her enthusiasm for helping clients achieve their goals. After 13 years of working in the real estate industry, what she still enjoys most is making people’s dreams come true, she said.
“I know that sounds cliche, but I really love that,” she said. “That’s the reward for all the had work: When you see them enjoy (their) new place.”
And that is how Esmonde found her niche. Her care and consideration for her clients shows through personal touches: A phone call instead of an e-mail, for example.
She has been described by her clients as “endlessly committed” and “tireless.”
She does whatever it takes to get the job done, she said. “I think (clients) deserve dedication and whole-hearted service. It’s such a big decision (to purchase a home). I think real estate gives you a great opportunity to give back.”
