Grand Lake soldier thankful for community support

To the Editor:

My name is Christopher Nelson and I recently returned from a 15 month deployment in Afghanistan. While I was over there I flew an American flag for a day at one of the bases I was at and then I carried it with me back to the states. It was just recently hung up at Grand Lake Elementary School.

I lived in Grand Lake for eight years and graduated from MPHS. I just want to thank everyone from Grand County for your support. The letters and comfort packages I received over there meant a lot more than you can imagine. Thank you, everybody.

Sgt. Christopher Nelson,

4/73 CAV 82nd ABN DIV
