Hazard tree mitigation work continues on west side of Rocky Mountain National Park

As part of ongoing beetle mitigation work, hazard trees will continue to be removed on Trail Ridge Road on the west side of the park from the Grand Lake Entrance Station to the Colorado River Trailhead. The section of the road past Timber Creek Campground to the Colorado River Trailhead will be closed Monday through Friday during November and possibly December.

Timber Creek Campground is open year-round. Work through this specific section may take place on Saturdays; however vehicles will be allowed access to the Colorado River Trailhead and the Timber Lake Trailhead. Work will not take place on Sundays or holidays.

For more information about Rocky Mountain National Park please call the park’s Information Office at 970-586-1206.
