High wind gusts predicted in Grand County tonight, tomorrow

Areas around Grand County may experience strong winds this evening through Monday evening, according to a National Weather Service warning.
The NWS predicts wind gusts will increase from 25 mph to 50 mph around midnight tonight, with peak gusts at 65 mph to 75 mph.
An estimated one to four inches of snow is predicted this evening, with heaviest snowfall rates from 4 p.m. to midnight. The NWS warns the blowing snow will create low visibility, particularly in the mountains.
Windy conditions are expected to continue Monday, especially in the afternoon and evening, with gusts up to 90 mph possible in the mountains and foothills. Two to six inches of snow are expected on Monday as well.
The gusty conditions are expected to abate by late Monday night and Tuesday, when it is expected to become dry and warm for the remainder of the week.
