Highway 125 closed due to mudslides

Update: 4:06 p.m.

An update from 8:49 a.m. on the Grand County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post reflects information posted on COtrip, saying the closure from Sunday’s mudslide extends from mile point 0.01 to 30.5. That length stretches from Granby across the Grand County border. As of 4:06 p.m., COtrip and the sheriff’s office post both say neither direction has an expected time of reopening.

The sheriff’s office also shared video of the mudslide on their Facebook page.

Due to the closure, Grand County residents unable to reach a ballot drop-off box can vote with an emergency ballot online at Colorado’s myballot website.

The Grand County Sheriff’s Office posted Sunday around 4:30 p.m. on their Facebook that a mud and rock slide caused a closure of Highway 125 in both directions. COtrip’s website lists the closure at milepost 10, two miles south of Willow Creek Pass.

Updates to the closure will be posted on the sheriff’s office Facebook and Twitter pages. The sheriff’s office has no estimated time of reopening.
