Hwy. 9 project open house set for Aug. 21 in Kremmling
KREMMLING — The Colorado Department of Transportation will host an open house to share information and gather input about the upcoming Hwy. 9 Grand County Safety Improvement Project.
This project is made possible due to a public-private partnership, including some dedicated private fundraising efforts. The improvements will include shoulder widening, curve and hill flattening to increase motorists’ sight distance, five wildlife underpasses and the first two wildlife overpasses on the state highway system (in addition to other wildlife features) along an 11-mile section.
Open house visitors can see displays, pictures, schedules and milestones for the upcoming safety improvements on Hwy. 9 and meet and talk with the CDOT project team, as well as others instrumental in making this project a reality.
The open house is scheduled for 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, at the Kremmling Chamber of Commerce, 203 Park Ave.
