Interstate 70 closed westbound/Exit 248, eastbound Exit 205

High winds are wreaking havoc this morning along the Interstate 70 corridor.

Currently the trouble area is Georgetown where two semis were blown over. One semi is in the median eastbound and blocking the #1 lane. The other semi is westbound on the shoulder. Crews are reporting wind gusts of 75 mph and there are also reports of passenger vehicle windshields shattering.
Crews  have implemented a closure westbound/Exit 248 (Beaver Brook) and eastbound Exit 205 (Silverthorne).  CMV trucking parking at Exit 133/Dotsero is also implemented in an effort to keep CMV off the corridor for the moment. The High Wind warning is in effect until 11:00 a.m.
