Joan Shaw: Fraser folk love their books, library
To the Editor:
Fraser residents not only read good literature but they take the time to donate their books in good condition to the local library. As a result the recent annual Book Sale was another success.
I could list all of the workers and sorters and sellers but the column of thanks would be huge since so many of you donated. You must read your name between these lines and know that your books and assistance were appreciated. Such an undertaking takes all year to organize efficiently, and that was done by Sue Haith and Karen Giblin.
Books are being accepted at the Fraser Library during their regular hours. We welcome most categories but we do not accept magazines, text books or encyclopedias. All videos collected will be free again next year, so as you update to newer media keep us in mind.
Book sorting has already begun and used books at low prices will be available all year long in the front lobby of the Fraser Library. More volunteers are welcome by phoning me at 726-4626.
Not only did you share your books with others but you made a great contribution recycling. THANKS to all of you Happy reading.
Sorter-outer, Fraser Library
