Kind-hearted man injured; his family needs help

To the Editor:

Jeff Fay married into a ready-made family. His wife had three boys and she and Jeff had a daughter four yeas ago. They moved to Grand Lake three years ago. He is a true family man and is always there for the boys as if they were his own.

One night this past December the 10-pound rescue puppy I had just adopted ran away. Jeff found out about the puppy and drove over to our home with his dog, asked for something that smelled like the puppy so his dog could learn the scent, and went out on foot for over two hours looking for the puppy. I’m sure he had plenty to do, but he took time out to help because it’s the kind of man he is.

On Tuesday, Feb. 16, Jeff was seriously injured after falling more than 40 feet to the ground while working in a building in Fraser. He broke five vertebrae, his pelvis and hip. Doctors say it could be up to a year before he will be back on his feet.

Jeff’s family needs help. Please donate to help this family of six during their time of need. A fund will be set up at Grand Mountain Bank in Jeff’s name.
