Kremmling boil order lifted

Kremmling, Colorado – The order issued last week by the Water Quality Control Division of the Colorado Department of Health and Environment for Kremmling residents to boil town water before consuming it has been lifted, according to the town’s Web site.

A loss in system pressure on Tuesday – a symptom that can allow contaminants into the system – prompted the order. The pressure loss occurred during a project to replace the town’s antiquated water transmission lines.

The town and other institutions were providing bottled water for those who needed it while officials conducted test to make sure no contaminants had been introduced into the water system.
