Kremmling – Five seats on West Grand Board of Education up for election
July 29, 2009
Five seats on the West Grand Board of Education will be up for election on Nov. 3.
The four board seats now held by Gary Bumgarner, Dave Jones, Teri Tanton, and Susan Ritschard will be up for election for four-year terms. They are all term-limited except for Susan Ritschard, who was appointed to finish Jenny Uren’s term after Uren resigned her post.
The fifth seat, which was held by Jim Ellison, is now held by appointee Brendan Gale. There are two years left on the initial term so this seat will be for a two year term.
All directors represent the district at-large as opposed to specific geographical areas.
Registered voters who have resided in the school district for at least 12 consecutive months prior to the election are eligible to run for the West Grand Board of Education. A “Call for Nominations” outlining board candidate qualifications and deadlines will be posted in the Sky-Hi Daily News legal notices and on the school district’s Web site (www.westgrand.k12.co.us) on Wednesday, Aug. 5.
