Kremmling Snowmobile Drag Races postponed until March 8

Believe it or not, the popular Kremmling Snowmobile Drag Races and Radar Runs have been rescheduled once more, to Saturday, March 8.
The third annual event was originally slated to be held Saturday, Feb. 9, at Wolford Mountain Reservoir. Last week it was announced that it was rescheduled to March 1, but the Kremmling Area Chamber of Commerce has since had to change it to March 8.
The registration dates for the event have also changed.
Mail-in registration deadline to the Kremmling Chamber of Commerce is now Feb. 29 at noon. After that date, a $5 late fee will be charged. Credit card registration is available online at http://www.active.com and closes at noon on March 7.
The classes in this year’s Kremmling Snowmobile Drag Racing and Radar Run competition include: Trail Performance (two cylinder) ” Stock 600, Stock 700, Stock 800, Improved Stock, Improved Stock Open and Modified Open Mountain Performance (two or greater paddle track) ” Stock 600, Stock 700, Stock 800, Stock Open cc, Improved Stock 700, Improved Stock 700 NOS, Improved Stock Open cc, Improved Stock Open cc NOS, Modified 800, Modified 800 NOS, Modified Open and Modified Open cc NOS Women’s Class (women can also compete in any division) ” Stock up to 800cc Vintage (1987 or older sleds monoleaf) ” Liquid and Fan/free air Unlimited (turbos, superchargers) ” unlimited open cc Youth ” fan cooled, stock open cc, and mini 120cc based. There are two Youth divisions for ages 10 to 13 and 14 to 16 year olds.
Pre-registration is requested. Payment can be made at Alpine Motor Sports in Kremmling, Kremmling Area Chamber of Commerce or on http://www.active.com.
Registration fees are $30 for the first class and $25 for each additional class. Youth divisions are $15 each.
Those wanting to find out just how fast their snowmobiles can go are invited to participate in the radar runs. The cost is $20 for five runs or $5 per run.
The third annual Snowmobile Drag Racing and Radar Run is sponsored by Alpine Motor Sports, Grand River Ranch and Spur Companies, Grand County Colorado Tourism Board, Colorado River Water Conservation District, Bureau of Land Management, Kremmling Police Department and Kremmling Area Chamber of Commerce.
