Kremmling’s Darlene ‘Dottie’ Barnes dies

Darlene “Dottie” Barnes, 81, of Kremmling, passed away suddenly Saturday Oct. 9, at home. Dottie was born Jan. 15, 1929, in Derby, Colo., to Adolph and Edna Seipp. Her family moved when she was a teenager to Grand Lake where she later met James “Bob” Barnes – they were married on Feb. 14, 1947.

Dottie was an avid reader, member of the morning coffee club and Secretary of the Kremmling Seniors. She enjoyed being outdoors, spending time with her family and many friends.

She is survived by her five children, Linda Vandall of Katy, Texas; Robert Barnes of Coos Bay, Ore.; Sherry Steuben of Kremmling; Susan Steuben of Vancouver, Wash.; and Cynthia Raish of Montrose; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and three siblings – Betty Carroll of Fort Collins, Harvey Siepp of Golden, and Ernie Siepp of Granby; along with many nieces and nephews.



She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters.

No services will be held at this time.
