Learn horsemanship at Sombrero Stables near Tabernash

Reid Tulley

Sombrero Stables, located on-grounds at Snow Mountain Ranch near Tabernash, is looking for locals who are interested in volunteering at the stables in exchange for lessons in riding and general horsemanship. This program offers local families the chance to learn about horsemanship and barn management without spending a fortune on private lessons.

All volunteers will start their volunteer hours with basic stable upkeep, including manure shoveling. Volunteers will also learn how to groom, tack up, saddle, bridle, and feed the horses.

Volunteers must be at least 10 years old and must sign a waiver form. Volunteers under the age of 18 must have a parent sign the waiver form.
