Letter: Armstrong, Rock of Ages is not family-friendly

Rock of Ages is not family-friendly,

Has anyone reviewed the Grand Lake Theater production, Rock of Ages”? It is not family-friendly and should have “a warning beware” for all ticket buyers. We attended last evening- naively assuming that all the Rocky Mountain Theater plays are wonderful entertainment. I admit that the singing and dancing is exceptional, but the script content is not. Many lines are sexually crude in nature, and there is a love scene which takes place in a bathroom stall. Two other prostitute scenes have actresses dressed or undressed as such. Be warned – this is edgy New York Broadway with all its sleaziness.

Editor’s Note: The Rocky Mountain Rep has posted signs and the director announces as the start of the show that Rock of Ages contains mature content, adult language and adult situations.
