Coming together for Christopher Cox

The Grand County Community came together for Christopher Cox and his family on Saturday, May 7. Volunteers from the Grand Arts Council, Grand Lake Rotary Club, and Grand Lake Gentlemen¹s Club hosted the event. Auctioneers Jim and Suzi Peterson had items from all sides of Grand County. Food was donated by Pancho & Lefty¹s, Sagebrush, Roadhouse, Sloopy¹s, Grand Pizza, Mountain Foods, Circle 3 Foods. Music was provided by Tight Like That, Peggy Man, and Acme Duo. Bingo was hosted by Grand Lake Rotary Club. The bar was tended by Grand Lake Gentlemen¹s Club with major donations from the Gateway Inn.

Perhaps the second most impressive part of the event (after the $15,000 raised to help with Christopher¹s bills) was that everyone asked to contribute happily did. Christopher has been hospitalized since September, but he continues to regain strength and we’re all hopeful he will be able to return home soon.
