Letter: Don’t tread on me, Obama

In 1994, 100 days of genocide occurred in Rwanda, South Africa. One million Tutsis were eliminated, by their enemies; the Hutus. Women and children were brutally slaughtered.

French President,Francois Mitterand encouraged and promoted the slaughter, commenting, “In such countries, genocide is not too important.”

The U.N. and Rwandan government assured the Tutsis that, they’d be protected. Those victims were subsequently handed over to the Hutus, who promptly slaughtered them. U.N. soldiers watched before hastily vacating Rwanda, setting the stage for unfathomable ethnic cleansing.

This all happened right under the nose of the Clinton administration. Meanwhile, blue-helmeted soldiers went door to door seizing the Tutsis’ guns. The Clinton administration did practically nothing. Meanwhile, they continued to furiously plan and implement their own gun control schemes here in the U.S.

Barack Hussein Obama is now closely working with that same U.N. to disarm Americans in the name of world peace and crime prevention.

Tenaciously and dishonestly, he remains focused on banning semi-automatic rifles from law abiding citizens. Those rifles account for approximately 2 percent of gun crimes, and most of those guns are purchased on the black market.

Leaders with tyrannical aspirations fear patriotic upheaval, generally instigated and led with “assault weapons” carried by a well armed and trained militia.

Our world enemies love it that our ignorant, political-minded government is disarming us, making it much easier for them to eliminate Americans and Jews from the face of this planet. Obama wants us to rely entirely on his government “protection.” Many countries have demonstrated what happens when such aspirations are achieved.

In Nazi Germany, Hitler confiscated the Jewish people’s guns and exterminated 13 million innocent men, women and children. They couldn’t fight back. The Soviets disarmed their populace by 1953, and 20 million people were murdered shortly thereafter. The gun control/genocide list goes on and on.

Here, in the U.S., we wear our complacency like a comfortable pair of well-worn sneakers, ‘protected’ by our government.

Many of us will vote Republican. And, if that day comes when those U.N. soldiers are going door to door seizing guns in this country, it has been duly noted that those blue helmets make fantastic targets.

Recently, Australian “turtles” shamefully rolled over onto their backs and allowed their government to disarm them. Will patriotic Americans allow the same thing to happen here? Our president embraces the prospect of a disarmed American populace. Most Obama gun control advocates are complacent. They believe that genocide could not possibly happen here.

In the meantime, they will stop at nothing to crush the Second Amendment, endlessly investing billions of taxpayers’ dollars to disarm us all.

“When the people fear the government, it is tyranny.”

“When the government fears the people, it is liberty.”

— Thomas Jefferson
