Letter: Grand County Leadership lacking on junk cleanup

To the Editor:

Mr. Jay Boisdrenghien (June 19 letter to the editor) is right on county leadership and government in the area of blights and clean-up in the Grand County area.

I speak from being a second-home owner in the Fraser area since 1973, and life-long visitor to Grand County since 1955.

There is a little problem here that I observe. When I went to the county to complain about a junk violation, I was directed to the planning department, a lady by the name of Kristin Manguso, (remember that name). After getting the runaround from her, I gave up the cause.

Fast forward … Manguso is now a county commissioner, also related (step-mother to the Grand County treasurer).

Manguso, the fair-haired child of the Grand County Republican Party (a few of a group of marauders named the Grand County Conservatives) was the only candidate to come out of the county assembly for the commissioners race and never ran against anyone to become your elected commissioner.

Is there a problem here … Voters wake up!
