Letter Kaplysh: Congratulations and thank you from the 5th annual US Constitution Week
Congratulations and thank you from the 5th annual US Constitution Week
Pulling off a week-long successful event in a small town with a small volunteer team is always challenging, but this year’s 5th annual US Constitution Week in Grand Lake unfolded without a hitch. From the opening night speaker to the fireworks over Grand Lake, the US Constitution, that amazing document that holds our nation together, was the focus of it all, and more folks than ever came to learn about, show respect for, and share in the celebration. Constitutional speakers added insight, high school students took time to study and present their views, venues opened and citizens welcomed visitors with a typical Grand county hospitality. The parade was wonderful and the weather…Aspen gold! There were dignitaries that most small towns could only envy: The AmeriChicks from 560 KLZ radio, Milwaukee County Sheriff David A. Clarke, and law enforcement from all over the state who came together to promote, educate and celebrate the US Constitution. It was an exceptional week and the committee says congratulations and thank you to all of you who worked tirelessly, gave of your time, money and talents, attended events, opened your shops, hotels and restaurants, were open to new ideas, set up and tore down tents, tables and chairs, and made this “The Premier Constitution Week Celebration in America.”
