Letter: Keep Grand Lake as clear as possible

To the Editor:

I have been reading the stories about Grand Lake water clarity.

Now, I am not known as the world’s most ardent environmentalist, but I would like to see Grand Lake as clear as possible.

There are a bunch of questions that will have to be answered, and I suppose that some will be answered, and some will just be smoke in our face, so to speak.

I guess that the bottom line is, just what is realistically and financially feasible? Who pay’s for this project, or does some consulting outfit get rich on the taxpayer’s dime?

One idea that I heard was to pipe the water from Shadow Mountain to the Adams tunnel. If you do that, will you drain Shadow Mountain?

These kinds of ideas will all have to be addressed, and for now, I think it is all just wishful thinking.
