Letter: Last year’s Spring Splash turned dangerous

We always enjoy watching the season ending Spring Splash, but last year a lot of the fun ended because of all the snow balls thrown at the participants.

There was a group of kids, mostly boys probably middle or high school age, that threw snow balls (ice balls due to the slushy snow) at every skier or boarder that came down.

My son was a participant and got hit in the face with an ice ball. The same thing happened to many of the others.

When someone asked the ski patrol to help police this situation all they got was shrugged shoulders.

I am asking the officials to stop this, this year.

Also parents of the boys need to control their kids. I did recognize some of the kids.
