Letter: Martens, Thank you Catherine Trotter

Thank you Catherine Trotter

Grand County History (GCHA) would like to acknowledge the good work of Catherine Trotter, Town Planner for the Town of Fraser. Catherine is an excellent neighbor to Cozens Ranch Museum, housed in one of the oldest standing buildings in Grand County, built in 1874. Cozens is one of GCHA’s four museums, and the only museum in the Winter Park/ Fraser Valley. It is on the National Register of Historic Places, and opened as a museum in 1991. In the past year, Catherine has helped the museum obtain a Business Improvement Grant to build a large highway sign that will be unveiled on June 22. Catherine leads the Fraser team that builds the attractive Fraser River Trail signs throughout the county, including a new one for Cozens Ranch. Lastly, Catherine recently arranged for a survey of the ranch property so these new signs are properly installed. GCHA is grateful for Catherine, as well as all the outstanding Fraser staff, mayors and trustees, past and present, in supporting our special history house museum. With these engaging new signs, residents and visitors can more easily find and appreciate our unique, shared heritage. On behalf of GCHA, we thank Catherine and the Town of Fraser in helping us better fulfill our mission to educate and bring the magic of history to the Grand County community.
