Letter: Miller, Come listen to the BOCC meeting
Come listen to the BOCC meeting
Citizens of Grand County, please listen to the April 19 BOCC meeting concerning the Freeport/Henderson Vote.
It was brought to the attention of the BOCC of the illigal and unethical ramifications resulting from the Freeport Vote. By voting on the three-yearr tax, not only does Grand County cheats itself out of millions in tax revenue but opens itself up to civil lawsuits from citizens of the County, not to mention ongoing litigation from Freeport/Henderson themselves. Remember the players here, Freeport, billions in assets and top shelf legal representation vs Grand County, fiscally handicapped and inept legal representation with no funds to hire better.
Witness the unprofessional behavior exhibited by Ms Tollett. When a citizen of the County stands to speak, Ms Tollett accuses him of “taking a shot at us” during his introduction. When Mr Recor made a valid point, you can hear Ms Tollett comment under her breath but audible “oh, God” to his point. Unacceptable behavior by someone who in fact works for the same people of this County.
Please listen for yourselves, our County has been put in financial jeopardy by two of the three Commissioners due to their illigal vote that was made not in the best interest of this County then vote accordingly.
Start a dialogue, stay on topic and be civil.
