Letter: No one lends a hand
On June 9, I was in Granby running errands and chose to stop and grab a sandwich before heading back to the west end of the county. I parked alongside the building, and as I turned at the corner of the building to my right, leaving sun into the shade, I missed seeing a short step up and tripped. That resulted in a three-point landing, the three points being my forehead and my knees all hitting the concrete. Surprisingly I wasn’t knocked unconscious, but as I began to collect my wits and my glasses I watched two men walk right past me and on into the restaurant without even a glance.
Could they have completely missed my dilemma? Unlikely. So now I have to wonder if our county is slipping into the same frame of mind of some of the areas that we’ve only heard about to this point where no one lends a hand to those with needs. Surely hope I am wrong in this.
