Letter: Odneal, Thank you for volunteers at the Lions 9HealthFair
Thank you for volunteers at the Lions 9HealthFair
On behalf of the Fraser River Valley Lions Club, I’d like to thank the 67 volunteers (including the amazing 10 RNs providing blood draw services) who supported the October 1st Lions-9HealthFair. Without their dedication and support, this event would not happen. Additionally, we received financial support from our community including Centennial Bank, Grand Foundation, Grand Mountain Bank, McDonald’s of Winter Park, Meyer Mountain Realty, Sharon Scott & Joe Wetzel, The Salon at Winter Park, Town of Fraser, Town of Winter Park, Winter Park Professionals, Winter Park Resorts and 9HealthFair. Providing in-kind donations were City Market, Elevation Pizza, Fraser Elementary School, Rocky Mountain Roastery, Safeway, Sky Hi News, TV 18 and Walgreen’s of Dillon. And these professionals volunteered their time and talent providing free screenings–Denver Health’s Greg Gutierrez, MD; Retired MD Dr. Ed Leary; East Grand School District Health Dept; Grand County EMS team, Middle Park Medical Center’s Jean Anderson, RD and Jeff Russell MS, PT, OCS; River View Counseling’s Mary Entrican, MS, LMFT, CACII; Winter Park Dental’s Dr. Mark Chua and staff; Winter Park Optical’s Scott Linn and Winter Park Wellness Center’s Jill Suffin and Emily Kuderer. Thanks to all our community members who came and “Owned Your Health”. Be sure to mark your calendar for next year’s event–October 7, 2017.
