Letter of thanks from Shining Stars

To the Editor:

We would like to thank all for making such a difference in the lives of the 210 people who attended the Grand County Summer Family Camp hosted by the Shining Stars Foundation July 31 to Aug. 4. These families each have a child with cancer or a life-threatening disease. More than 100 volunteers, businesses, and foundations gave their support to these brave people by contributing time, money, and in-kind donations during the five-day reunion. The Shining Stars Foundation would like to thank the Town of Winter Park, the Grand County board of county commissioners, the Town of Grand Lake, Cornerstone Family Foundation, Rendezvous Foundation, Wells Fargo, Lions Club of Fraser Valley Foundation and the Frasers Valley Lions Club, Hernando’s, Headwaters Marina, Boaters Choice Marina, The Coin Drops Here arcades, Rocky Hi Speedway, Pancho & Lefty’s, Grand Lake Chocolates, Winter Park Rotary, Winter Park Chamber, Winter Park Resort, Cooper Creek Square, Smokin’ Moe’s, Grand Park Community Recreation Center, Mad Adventures, Deno’s Mountain Bistro, Peggy Gray, High Country Stampede Rodeo, Sombrero Stables, Cozens Ranch Museum, Rendezvous Fishing Pond, Beaver’s Lodge, Viking Lodge, Beaver Village Condos, Showboat Catering and Geno’s Pizza. You all embraced these families and showed them the time of their lives.
