Letter of thanks: National Sports Center for the Disabled

To the Editor:

The National Sport Center for the Disabled would like to thank the Grand county community for its support of the NSCD Therapeutic Horse Riding Center. Support from many entities and individuals was bundled together and allowed NSCD to provide the opportunity for program participants to partner with a horse to work on personal therapeutic and life goals and just have some fun. Many successes were realized atop an NSCD therapy horse this summer. Special thanks to YMCA-Snow Mountain Ranch, all of the volunteers who helped us with lessons, horse care and Center upkeep, and to Jim Murphy, Bill Fisher of C lazy U Ranch, Nancy Roark, Kathy Hollister, the Reichert Family and The Urban Farm who are all providing foster care for our four-legged staff members this winter.
