Letter of thanks: Volunteers of Grand County Historical Association
To the Editor:
National Volunteer Week, April 6-12, 2014, is about inspiring, recognizing and encouraging people to seek out imaginative ways to engage in their communities. It’s about demonstrating that by working together, we have the fortitude to meet our challenges and accomplish our goals.
Established in 1974, this year marks the 40th anniversary of National Volunteer Week. During National Volunteer Week, Grand County Historical Association, which is also celebrating its 40th Anniversary, honors our volunteers’ dedication to helping our museums, educating and promoting Grand County history, and encouraging others to join us.
In addition to our all volunteer board of directors, we have many people to thank, a list too long to print here. All our volunteers are invited to a volunteer cocktail party at 5 p.m. on Friday, April 11, at the Cozens Ranch Museum. RSVP at 970-726-5488 or cozens@qwestoffice.net or just show up!
