Letter: Parade marshalls extend thanks for Memorial event
Parade marshalls extend thanks for Memorial event
To the Editor:
Thanks to Duane Dailey, the Grand County Veteran’s Advocate, for nominating John Sheriff and George Mitchell for the honor of being the Grand Marshalls in the Grand Lake veterans parade on Memorial Day. And thanks to the Chamber of Commerce and Town of Grand Lake and the many volunteers for making it all possible. Peter the Painter, who helped organize the parade and made us feel welcome and special, the participants of the Observance Ceremony honoring our military veterans, the donors of the food for the delicious potluck lunch at Pancho & Lefty’s all came together to make the observance of Memorial Day what it is meant to be — and to all the spectators who came out to celebrate the freedoms our brave military men have fought for, and are still fighting for the United States of America — we thank you one and all.
John and Ida Sheriff and George and Barbara Mitchell
