Letter: Professionalism was everywhere the night of the Highway 34 accident

To the Editor:

My family and friends would like to thank the town of Grand Lake and all involved first responders for the compassionate and professional manner in which they handled the tragic car accident on the 4th of July.

Although the highway closures directly impacted the town and all firework viewers, several local businesses stayed open to accommodate people in search of food, drink, and bathrooms. First responders did their best to keep townspeople and waiting visitors updated regarding the difficult progress of assisting the victims and processing the accident scene. Additionally, the Sky Hi Daily News website was diligent in posting updates to the situation.

Grand County is fortunate to have such committed First Responders and residents who handled a very difficult situation with professionalism, grace, and compassion.
