Letter: Railroad underpass issue speaks for itself
To the Editor:
I appreciate Mr. Bestall’s response to my previous letter to the editor; but he fails to address the real question:
“What’s in the best interest of the residents of our wonderful community?”
• Spend millions of Winter Park taxpayer dollars on unnecessary construction for a private for-profit developer (in another town) to funnel traffic through a private community and to their business in the guise of public safety?
• Close a perfectly adequate existing road (Kings Crossing) that facilitates all in the community?
• Use a stealth marketing plan of postcards and Facebook web pages to influence voters?
I remember a wonderful old Latin phrase : Res Ipsa Loquitor, “The Thing Speaks for Itself.”
