Letter: ‘Republican’ letter writer confused with who’s at fault

To the Editor,

The so-called Republican from Cheyenne apparently hurt his head falling off a turnip truck. I too have just turned 80 but haven’t yet experienced any mind altering falls.

He is disgusted by Republicans, who, he wrote; “have accomplished nothing in the past six years . . . you talk big but do nothing (assume he is talking about legislation) . . . you passed the Obama Bill (assume he means Obamacare) . . . you talked big about closing the border . . . you talked big about four Americans killed overseas (assume he means in Benghazi) . . . now we are sending tons of scrap iron to China . . . they will, in turn, give it back to us in warfare.” Wow what a misguided rant!

Allow me to educate this guy! The Democrats have been in charge of the Senate and the presidency (the administration of federal government) for all six years and the House for all but the last two. Essentially, no Republicans voted for Obamacare and it was passed by Democrats who “to find out what was in it” when they controlled both houses of Congress and the White House. To do any legislation at that level takes both houses and the presidency. The administration is in charge of the border — not the Republican House. The Administration would encourage or discourage sale of iron to China — not the House Republicans! The horrible death of our ambassador and three others occurred and was and is covered-up under the administration of Obama and Clinton — both Democrats.

Maybe he didn’t take a fall, but is just a closet Democrat.
