Letter: Support Republican candidates
To the Editor:
It’s a month until the “midterm” elections, and I am writing to support Republican candidates, across the board.
This year, there are several very key races in which Democrats need to be “fired.”
John Hickenlooper has not been a strong governor. He signed two of the stupidest “gun laws” ever, which were pushed by Michael Bloomberg, who should keep his nose out of Colorado politics — period.
Hickenlooper also failed in the “Chucky-Cheese murders,” aka Nathan Dunlap case. He could have let the execution go on, or he could have commuted to a life sentence, but he chose to punt. Hickenlooper’s sins do not end there, but not enough space for more elaboration.
Sen. Mark Udall doesn’t represent Colorado. He represents enviro-bigots, Obama, and Bloomberg. He also considers himself Democrat royalty, living on his family name. He is solidly in the “Man Caused Global Warming” crowd, and he has a 99 percent liberal (read socialist) voting record. He proudly voted for Obamacare, and would again.
His biggest campaign pushes are the Supreme Court decreed “PRO-CHOICE” rights, and that he got last year’s flood victims federal money. He conveniently forgets that Cory Gardner also supported federal funds for flood victims. He also forgets constitutional rights, like free speech, religion, Second Amendment, etc.
Other Democrats that need to go include Jared Polis, another Bloomberg yes man, and whoever the state representative for this district is. Neither one represents voters like me. I didn’t bother to find out the name of our state representative because it doesn’t matter.
Much is made of the Koch brothers’ contributions, but the fact is they are 35th in total political contributions, and only contribute slightly more to Republicans than to Democrats.
Nothing is ever mentioned about the top Democrat funders, like the Service Employees International Union, the teachers unions, George Soros, Michael Bloomberg, etc., all of which contribute to Democrats far more than Koch brothers support Republicans.
The only local race is the sheriff race, and I am supporting Brett Schroetlin. Frankly, I don’t know either candidate very well, but Brett has made the effort to contact me personally.
On Amendment 68, I don’t care, but any gambling money that makes it to the schools will be in place of state tax money, not in additional funds.
Start a dialogue, stay on topic and be civil.
