Letter: The reason President Clinton was impeached
To the Editor:
Ms. Muftic attempts to revise history when she writes that Bill Clinton was impeached for “sexual misconduct.”
I remind our readers that Bill Clinton was impeached on two counts, one of perjury and one of obstruction of justice. The two counts stem from a sexual harassment lawsuit file by Ms. Paula Jones. By committing perjury before a grand jury, Bill Clinton obstructed Ms. Jones attempt to receive justice.
I also remind our readers that no Senate Democrat voted guilty? In my opinion, those Democrats demonstrated that they really did not care about the common citizen.
Finally, the Arkansas Supreme Court suspended Bill Clinton’s law license for providing “intentionally false testimony,” and Bill Clinton settled with Ms. Jones out of court.
