To the Editor:

President Obama now has a record – one of broken promises, big spending, nanny government, horrific unemployment and talking without a teleprompter.

Speeches without the teleprompter may be the most revealing about the man and how he views we the people:

“I’ve now been in 57 states – I think one left to go” is one from the Harvard graduate.

Or, “It’s not surprising, then, they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them …” when talking about small town folks.

Was it a slip or a forecast when he said: “The reforms we seek would bring greater competition, choice, savings and inefficiencies to our health care system.”

Then, “UPS and FedEx are doing just fine, right? It’s the Post Office that’s always having problems,” attempting to make the case for government-run health care, while simultaneously undercutting his own argument

And, “What I was suggesting – you’re absolutely right that John McCain has not talked about my Muslim faith …” in an interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, who jumped in to correct Obama by saying “your Christian faith,” on which Obama quickly agreed.

The latest, “If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen,” certainly tells us volumes about his view of folks who started or will start their own businesses.

Yes, all are taken out of context. But can you imagine him saying any of those things if his handlers were involved to avoid such likely honest statements leaking through? While his campaign is fraught with attack ads, the Republicans have only to quote the man’s own words.
