Letter: Vote for John Stein for Grand County sheriff
Attention all Democrats of Grand County, please take advantage of a great opportunity.
The Republican Party of Grand County voted at its primary election to remove Rod Johnson as our county sheriff. However, now we are all able to write in and vote for John Stein on the general election ballot.
If Sheriff Johnson had taken his retirement and supported his undersheriff in the primary, I believe John Stein would be the only name on this ballot.
At the local level we Democrats don’t have a choice except by a write-in vote for the most qualified new sheriff, John Stein. By writing in John Stein and marking the box on your ballot you will be voting for the best qualified Republican for the job. He is worthy of our Democratic vote.
Oh – by the way. All Republicans can vote for the most qualified person for the job also by writing in a vote for John Stein. And you would not be voting for a Democrat!
Remember to vote. Let’s give the most qualified person the job.
