How to list events on tourism board website

We read with interest the September 30 article by Keith Sanders about the Colorado High School Mountain Bike League event that took place at Granby Ranch. We were delighted to learn of this event and want to take the opportunity to encourage all to take advantage of the Grand County Colorado Tourism Board marketing and public relations efforts. Any event that would be of interest to out-of-county visitors can be posted on the county-wide events calendar on VisitGrandCounty.com (“Events” menu – go to “Submit an Event”). Our PR firm uses this calendar to pitch stories to national and international travel, sports and adventure writers and bloggers. Our Marketing Agency also relies on this calendar to select events for promotion though e-newsletter blasts, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. Please post your announcements as far in advance as possible to take advantage of this valuable county resource. The Tourism Board would also be happy to promote area activities during these types of events. If you have such an event coming up, contact our Administrator, Dede Fay, at 970-531-7020 or dede@waldenhollow.com. Our Board is charged with the promotion of tourism throughout Grand County, a primary source of jobs, income and tax revenue in our area and we are very fortunate to have such a diverse offering of activities and attractions.

Cathy Walton-Smith

President, Grand County Colorado Tourism Board
