To the Editor:The 5th Grade Chili dinner and Silent Auction was a grand success due to the extremely generous donations from community businesses, numerous parent volunteers and the 5th grade students’ and teachers’ enthusiasm. The people in Grand County continue to prove their dedication and support to the students of East Grand School district. A remarkable donation by Sagebrush BBQ and Grill allowed the chili cooking team to create a tasty and large supply of chili for the event. This year’s donations were provided by The Sagebrush BBQ and Grill, Pancho and Lefty’s, The Hub coffee and cones, The Grand Lake Gentlemen’s Club, The Roadhouse, The Lariat Saloon and Sloopy’s Grill. This year’s event was a great success with more than 900 eggs donated and about 200 people participating.
