Lightning strike starts small wildfire west of Granby

Fire crews responded Monday afternoon to a 1/2-acre wildland fire north of U.S. Highway 40 in the Kinney Creek area between Windy Gap and Hot Sulphur Springs.

The fire was believed to have started from a lightning strike. No more details were immediately available.

At least two other lightning strikes were reported in the Grand Lake area, one of which hit a wooden house.
