Local government meetings in Grand County
There are a few local government meetings in Grand County this week, July 11 through July 15, 2016.
The Town of Grand Lake will hold a Board of Trustees Workshop and a Board of Trustees Regular Meeting on Monday July 11. The Board of Trustees Workshop will begin at 5 p.m. in the Grand Lake Town Hall. The Grand Lake Board of Trustees meets in a workshop to discuss matters that will be presented to the Board later in the evening during regular board sessions. No formal votes are taken during Workshops.
Items scheduled for review by the Grand Lake Board during the Workshop include: a special event permit for the “Spirit of the Lake Regatta Brews & Crews Fest”, a resolution that would grant a Nightly Rental License in a Grand Lake residential neighborhood, and a resolution authorizing the Grand Lake Town Manager to execute an agreement for surveying and design services for downtown Grand Lake.
The Grand Lake Board of Trustees Regular Meeting is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Grand Lake Town Hall. The Board will consider a special event liquor permit application from the Grand Arts Council for their upcoming event titled,” Night in Morocco Show”. The Board will consider a special event liquor permit application and special event permit for Infinite West, Inc.’s “Spirit of the Lake Regatta Brews & Crews Fest”. The Board will also consider a transfer of ownership application for the hotel and restaurant liquor license for the Pine Restaurant & Bar.
In New Business the Grand Lake Board will consider adoption of a resolution granting a nightly rental license in a residential neighborhood in Grand Lake located on West Portal Road. The Board will also consider adoption of a resolution authorizing the Town Manager to execute an agreement for surveying and design services for downtown Grand Lake.
The Town of Granby has a Planning Commission meeting scheduled to take place beginning at 6 p.m. on Monday July 11. The Granby Board of Trustees is scheduled to hold a regular board meeting beginning at 6 p.m. on Tuesday July 12. The Board will review a number of possible action items including: an ordinance clarifying that regulations applying to Town water systems also apply to sanitary sewer systems, an ordinance authorizing the adoption of regulations governing the Town’s use of the recently purchased Shorefox property, and an ordinance establishing penalties for violating the Town’s recently approved OHV regulations.
A Reception for Granby Town Manager Wally Baird is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. Tuesday evening at Granby Town Hall.
The Board of County Commissioners will have a meeting at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12 in Hot Sulphur Springs. The BOCC will also have a special meeting with the Grand county Library District at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 13 in the BOCC meeting room in Hot Sulphur. The meeting is open to the public and the fate of the Hot Sulphur Library will be discussed.
The Winter Park Planning Commission will have a meeting at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12 at the Winter Park town meeting hall.
The Fraser Water/Wastewater Committee will have a meeting at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12 at the Fraser Town Hall
