Local government meetings in Grand County
It is a fairly busy week, Sept. 12 through 16, for local government meetings in Grand County.
The Town of Grand Lake will hold both a Trustee Workshop/Special Meeting and a Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees Monday night Sept. 12. The Trustee Workshop/Special Meeting will begin at 5 p.m. in the Grand Lake Town Hall with delegations from the Grand Lake Center and Colorado Parks and Wildlife addressing the Board. The Board will also recognize two Town employees, David Johnson and Randy Lewis, for 20 years of service to the community.
Topics for Board discussion include consideration of suspending the fire restrictions within Town limits, considering setting a public hearing for the 2017 Town Budget, a quasi-judicial matter involving a building permit for a boathouse on Lake Ave., a quasi-judicial matter involving a lot line adjustment on Cairns Ave., consideration of adopting an ordinance amending parts of the Grand Lake Municipal Code in multiple areas, and consideration of a special event permit revision for Mountain Family Center.
The Regular Meeting of the Grand Lake Board of Trustees is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. In New Business the Grand Lake Board will consider acknowledging suspension of the fire restrictions within town limits, consider setting a public hearing for the 2017 Town budget, consider a boat slip leased to Tom Ludwig for the 2017 season, a quasi judicial matter regarding a boathouse building permit on Lake Ave., a quasi-judicial matter involving a lot line adjustment on Shadow Mountain Drive, a quasi-judicial matter involving a nightly rental license on Cairns Ave., consider amending multiple sections of the Municipal Code, and consideration of a special event permit revision for Mountain Family Center.
The Board will also convene a Show Cause Hearing for a tavern liquor license issued to Grumpy’s Saloon.
The Granby Board of Trustees will meet at 6 p.m. on Tue. Sept. 13 for a Regular Meeting. The Board will hear an update about IT services from SMSB Net Solutions, an RPI downtown update, an update on the Grand Enterprise Initiative from Patrick Brower and Board discussion and possible approval of the Shorefox Request for Proposal (RFP). The Board will hold a Public Hearing regarding supplemental appropriations to the Town Budget.
The Grand County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) will have a meeting at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 13 at the Administration building in Hot Sulphur Springs.
The Town of Winter Park will have a Planning Commission meeting at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 13 at the Winter Park Town Meeting Hall.
