Local government meetings in Grand County
There are a handful of local government meetings this week in Grand County.
The Town of Grand Lake will hold a Board of Trustees Afternoon Workshop from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday May 9 in the Grand Lake Town Hall Board Room. The Board will discuss several topics including a special event permit for a “Songwriters in the Round” event, possible new parking regulations and zoning variances.
The Grand Lake Board of Trustees will hold a Regular Meeting starting at 7:30 p.m. Monday May 9 also in the Grand Lake Town Hall Board Room. During the meeting the Board expects to install recently elected Town Trustee Tom Goodfellows. Other agenda items include special event liquor permits and a proclamation declaring May 21 as Arbor Day in Grand Lake. The Board will also continue discussions from topics covered during the Afternoon Workshop.
The Town of Granby’s Board of Trustees will hold a meeting beginning at 6 p.m. Tuesday evening May 10. The meeting will begin with a PowerPoint presentation and a Question and Answer Public Forum regarding the Town’s recent decision to purchase the Shorefox property north of Granby proper. The Town Board is also expected to discuss and possibly approve an ordinance that would allow OHVs to operate on Granby streets. The Board will also review bids for a chip and seal project and construction of the RV dump station proposed for installation in Kaibab Park.
The Grand County Board of County Commissioners will hold a Workshop Retreat from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Monday May 9 for organizational team building. The Board of County Commissioners are scheduled to hold a regular meeting beginning at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday May 10 in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room in the Grand County Administration Building.
Agenda items include a Road & Bridge update, a special use permit for a liquor license for Rotary Club of Granby Foundation, a Treasurer’s Report, an update from the Bureau of Land Management’s District Manager, a public hearing on the Innsbruck Val Moritz Utility Easement, a Veterans Affairs Workshop and a discussion of the Century Link CAF2.
The Town of Winter Park will hold a Planning Commission Meeting from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Tuesday May 10. Winter Park’s Town Council will hold a regular meeting next week at 8 a.m. on Tuesday May 17.
The Town of Fraser does not have a Board of Trustees meeting scheduled this week. The Fraser Board of Trustees will meet next week from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday May 18.
