UPDATE: Grand County’s County Commissioners race initial results show preference to Republicans

A total of 14,707 of votes for this year’s Grand County Commissioner race have been counted for the four candidates as of 8:46 p.m. on Tuesday. The preliminary results show Republican candidates Ed Raegner and Merrit Linke in the lead.

Two out of the three Grand County commissioner seats were up for election in Districts 1 and 2.

Grand County Commissioner – District 1



  • Ed Raegner (R): 4,458 votes
  • Meara McQuain (D): 3,376 votes

Grand County Commissioner – District 2

  • Merrit Linke (R): 4,429 votes
  • Shanna Ganne (D): 3,346 votes
