Snow Mountain Ranch is offering free Day Passes for Grand County locals and their families on Wednesday, June 10.

This special “Day at the Y” is intended to allow the YMCA of the Rockies to give thanks to the residents of Grand County who continue to support Snow Mountain Ranch, Camp Chief Ouray, Day Camp and other programs, events and activities.

Local residents need only to present their ID at the Programs Department Building front desk to receive a Day Pass. Seasonal employees of businesses in the county who may not have a local ID are welcome to provide proof of employment in lieu of a Grand County address.

“I’m excited to open our doors to the local community and let our county residents see what our YMCA has to offer,” said Trueman Hoffmeister, Center Director for Snow Mountain Ranch. “Snow Mountain Ranch is a great place for families to come together, and we have recreation opportunities for all ages and abilities.”

A Day Pass at Snow Mountain Ranch includes mini golf, access to the indoor swimming pool and sauna, trike park, playgrounds, volleyball, outdoor tennis court access, entry to the Kiva Center (which includes table games, roller skating, indoor basketball and more), hiking and biking trail access, a walk through the Historic Rowley Homestead, disc golf course, and all family programs.

Reservations can be made the day of at the Programs Department Building for activities that require an additional fee including zip line, high ropes, mountain bike rentals, archery, rock climbing, fishing, and canoeing. The Craft Shop at Snow Mountain Ranch requires an additional fee for arts and crafts projects, but no reservation is required.

Check the weekly Program Bulletin at http://www.snowmountainranch.org/activities for more information and scheduling.

During Locals Day, residents will have special access to a dedicated two-hour session at the Summer Tubing Hill from 1-3 p.m. at no extra cost.

Sombrero Stables at Snow Mountain Ranch will also be giving a special $10 off to locals and their guests on all horseback rides. Call Sombrero Stables at 970-887-1999 to schedule a discounted ride for June 10.
