Lonesome Stone Pottery plans open house Saturday

Lonesome Stone Pottery, located just east of Granby on County Road 60, is planning an open house event from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. this Saturday.

Linda Dewey, owner and operator of Lonesome Stone Pottery, is planning a series of activities and demonstrations as part of the open house event. Dewey will be demonstrating pottery formation, termed throwing, using a pottery wheel as well as a metal raising demonstration by John Henley. Dewey will also fire up the kiln for a horse hair firing demonstration.

The event will additionally feature the Gore Range Artisans’ Group displaying and selling their artwork as well as a display of classic cars put on by Dewey’s husband Marv. A free lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lonesome Stone Pottery is located at 946 County Road 60 east of Granby.
