Maree McRae will perform at Circle H on Lake Granby on Saturday

Nationally charted singer-songwriter Maree McRae, fresh off her summer tour of the Hawaiian Islands, is performing at Lake Granby this Saturday.Audiences connect with McRae’s latest album, “Urgency,” which was inspired by her journey as a mother through the diagnosis of her son’s immune illness, CVID. Her single “Breeze” charted at no. 7 nationally shortly after its release last year. She composed the title cut “Urgency” minutes after walking out of the hospital upon hearing her son’s diagnosis. A mother’s heartbreak is found in the poignancy of the lyrics. She now donates 20 percent of all CD sales to the National Immune Deficiency Foundation, and her goal, in her words, is “to share my songs with as many as I can who will be comforted by the music.” McRae wrote all the music on this latest album, and co-produced the project with multi-platinum producer Wyatt Easterling. Easterling heard McRae’s writing and offered her the opportunity to record in Nashville with three-time Grammy-winning engineer Mark Capps.McRae was top performing artist at the World MusicFest in Sweden and was the cover story of industry-favorite “Performance Magazine.”
