Movie Night – “This is Spinal Tap” (R) filmed in 1984. Join Charlie Agar for our monthly movie night followed by a discussion about the film. This “rockumentary/mockumentary” is a biting satire and spoof of the whole rock ‘n’ roll scene that passes itself off as a real documentary about a British heavy metal band who attempt an American comeback tour . Kentucky Derby Day – Join us to watch the fastest two minutes in sports for the “Run for the Roses” in the first leg of the Triple Crown. Celebrate the tradition; wear a fashionable hat and the drink mint tea we provide. Saturday, May 2nd in the Library.

Brown Bag Book Group – “The Story of Edgar Sawtelle” by David Wroblewski. How to Grow Vegetables in Grand County – Join Morales Farms and the CSU Extension Office in an informative class about planning your garden and knowing what to grow. This is a summary of the 4 classes presented during March and April. Saturday, May 23rd at 12 p.m.
Progressive Dinner in Grand Lake – Enjoy a wonderful sampling at our local restaurants, each of which is providing a course in a delicious, 5-course meal benefiting Juniper Library. $60 per person, including gratuities and transportation. Movie Night – “Tale of Despereaux” (G) The tale of three unlikely heroes – a misfit mouse who prefers reading books to eating them, an unhappy rat who schemes to leave the darkness of the dungeon, and a bumbling servant girl with cauliflower ears – whose fates are intertwined with that of the castle’s princess. Popcorn is provided, so bring a beverage and a friend! Tuesday, May 26th, at 6 p.m.
After School Club geared for 4th, 5th, and 6th graders! We will play games, do arts and crafts, watch movies, do science projects, read stories, have show-and-tells, check out books, and have lots of fun! Moms and Tots (ages 2 _ and under) – This program is geared toward those parents wanting to teach their baby to communicate early through “Baby Sign Language.” There is always a story and fun games. Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.
Toddler Story Time – This program is for children ages 2 1/2 to 5 years old. Come join in on the fun as we read stories, sing, dance, and do crafts! Parents join in on the fun too! Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.
Knitting – For elementary school ages and up. Join us as we listen to books and knit with needles, knit with knifty knitters, or finger knit! Fridays at 4 p.m.
