Meadow Creek and Kinney Creek roads closed July 7-8

On July 8, 2013, Meadow Creek Road (FSR 129) will close to all traffic above the intersection of Water Board Road while crews cut, skid, process, load and haul hazardous trees out of the area. This closure includes all day use, associated trails, parking and camping. All campers and recreationists will be need to leave the area by 6 p.m. Sunday, July 7.

On July 8 Kinney Creek Road (FSR 141.1) will close to all traffic while crews cut, skid, process, load and haul hazardous trees out of the area. All campers and recreationists will be need to leave the area by 6 p.m. Sunday, July 7. This closure includes all day use, associated trails, parking and camping and will impact the following trails and trailheads: Kinney Creek Trailhead (access to Horseshoe Lake); K & K Connection (M142); Elk Wallow Trail (M140)

Stage 1 fire restrictions are in effect, which means campfires are not allowed in dispersed campsites. Fireworks are never allowed on the National Forest.
